  1. This is really inspirational – it’s helping me understand that I’m never too old and never too dumb to not live out my dreams. I’m doing it – I’m getting in my car and I’m going to live out my dreams!

As I just retired, So I'd be a late plus bloomer, That's OK because I'm healthy and feel good mentally and emotionally, Thank you for your inspirational speech, And I'm also sending positive thoughts and prayers to you your Family and friend, In these trying times, Last but not least on your other video on 10 scams to watch out for. I believe it's spelled Pick- Pocketing, Maybe ?

  3. Great videos, I grew up in Wuhan and am currently in AKL NZ, must be a tough time for all the travelers now tho. Btw I could be one of those helpful English speaking students in your China travel tips lol

  4. Thank you Dia for sharing your story, very impressive. Speaking about money, the question is if you are receiving claims from IRS to pay US' taxes. If this is too difficult, please do not feel obligated to respond. You were very transparent, more than anybody I have ever heard of on YouTube. You are Number 1, absolutely!

  5. This is an excellent video! Thanks for your honesty!

Rather than BEG for money in a foreign country, I earned an ESL certificate, but I had a bigger picture in mind than just teach. As I saw foreign signs translated into poor English, I thought about starting a company to help foreign businesses rebrand themselves. But communication isn't just about words or punctuations. Music is also communication because music moves people without words. Bottom line is COMMUNICATION is not just language, not just words, not just pictures – it can be anything your creative mind desires!

LIFE IS A JOURNEY – You just recognized the importance of journeying, and made it a part of your life!

  6. I recently became a full time traveler by accident sort of. Went to China for an exchange in October, then was advised to leave the country in end of January. Been traveling south east asia since then. I also have to finish my master thesis on the go now. Strange times, but I would be lying if i said I didnt like the traveling atm. Luckily the scholarship is still paying. Take care

  7. Magical formula or not, this was very inspiring.
I use to travel a lot more, but then I started going away just one time a year for eight weeks each year. Usually to China.

Opening up to your viewers makes us feel like we kinda know you which in turn makes you a very likable person.
I am trying to say in a respectable way that you don't need that expensive wardrobe you mentioned to look good.
The real you is more appealing than any fancy wardrobe. However you present yourself, we will like it simply because it is part of you.

I think part of it too is realizing that having too much stuff is a pressure, at least in my opinion.
I go away for eight weeks with just a small camera bag and one carry-on rolling duffle bag.
Once I get to my international destination,
I quite often leave my carry-on at a hotel and take off to other cities for anywhere from 3 to 7 days with just my camera bag.

I have known people that don't want to move simple because they have too much stuff.
And some people travel with way too much, I don't understand how they can enjoy themselves with so much luggage in tote.
I think part of the freedom you feel is because you don't have too many things, correct me if I'm wrong.

  8. When I first got to New Zealand on my Working Holiday, I was literally a lumberjack, cutting down trees and making piles of shelter belt tree branches. 😂🤣 It was a WOOFing experience so I got room and board in return…After that, I worked at a hostel and a cute little cafe in the north island. It’s like you said in this video- It’s easy to make traveling work, but you’ve gotta be open-minded. 🥰

  9. Nice – i enjoyed the video – will take a look at your patreon. As long as you stay consistent & genuine, video will do well. Subscribers will eventually grow & grow. Nurture the ones you have and slowly grow new ones. Along the way, add incremental improvements – try different things here & there. For example, I first clicked on u bc u looked good & was articulate w/ tips on travel / good spirit. So, use that to your advantage. My travel plans scrapped bc coronaV, but I got plan B & C. Anyway, keep up the good work Dia, keep smiling, & be careful as u travel: )

  10. I was supposed to work a trade show in Anaheim starting tomorrow (NPEW) but they just postponed it because of the virus. How has this or will this effect your travel plans?

  11. Appreciate your video. You didn't have to share what you make. That's your business.
I'm trying to start a travel blog and it's been crappy so far but you've given me a little encouragement to stick with it. Thanks for being you. ❤

  12. Full on selling the dream, its such a brave thing to do. I'm doing a year in China in a couple of months but any longer and I'm scared it will effect my ability to get a high earning job. Really shows that money doesn't matter though, its just about living your best life.

  13. If/when you decide to take up a permanent residence again, do you think you will accumulate a lot of miscellaneous personal possessions like most people or maintain the simplicity and freedom of a life without "stuff"?

  14. Hi Dia. Very inspirational and useful material as always. I am really looking forward to joining the ranks of full time travelers in the next several months and your information is amazingly helpful.
